Who should audition?

Dancers chosen to participate are innovative, technical and think outside the box. Convergence has created a space where many strengths and weaknesses can combine to promote and enhance each other. Dancers should have a strong background in both classical ballet and post modern work with a willingness to test and create new movements and skills. Each dancer will be asked to challenge their abilities and concepts consistently to find their full potential. All participants need to be age 17-25 and have completed high school.

Why this program?

Convergence has combined classical ballet and post modern dance in a way that provides equal and efficient training of both simultaneously. Dancers will be able to enter many different fields of work…. choreography, ballet professional, post modern company or contract artist, as well as become your own entity in the dance world. Dancers will get a chance to perform with Convergence as an apprentice and be paid apprentice fees; gaining experience and building your resume. Once finished the 2 year program, dancers could be asked to enter Convergence as a professional artist or audition for the company of your dreams.
